COPYRIGHT AND ACCEPTABLE USE We are often asked if a particular image can be used for various projects such as television, film, plays, advertising, or other commercial applications. The short answer is yes in most cases. However you must obtain written permission from KJA to do so. Many images sold on this website are licensed by us and are still protected by U.S. and International copyright law by the rights holder(s). In addition many other works have undergone major restorations including colorization and other artistic modifications which are provided copyright protection under Title 17 of the U.S. code as derivative works. All works have an embedded watermark and/or other unique properties easily identifying them. Please contact us prior to using any print for any purpose other than private use to avoid legal action from the rights holder(s). Digital TIF files in high resolution formats and image rights licenses are available for reproduction or use in television , film, or other commercial media.
