Brown Bread Modeling Dough

1/2 cup plain salt 3/4 cup hot water 2 cups whole-wheat flour 1 tablespoon vegetable oil In a bowl, dissolve the salt in the water. Add flour and oil. Mix with your hands. Knead until well blended, keeping hands wet. Makes about 2 cups. Mold dough into desired shapes, or roll out and cut designs with cookie cutters. Bake on foil-lined cookie sheet at 300 degrees Fahrenheit for about 1 hour or until dry. This is an excellent dough for modeling holiday decorations, jewelry, and plaques.
