Mary White has won numerous awards for her paintings and sculpture. Her works are in several private collections throughout the United States, as well. She began experimenting with cloth Sculpture and created a series of dolls that represent the female spirit : Survivor, Dreamer, Protector, Realist. Each doll is a representation of that unique spirit. For example,Tarzanetta is a protector, she is that part of you that bravely gets out of bad, hurtful situations. While Bridget the Bride is the dreamer in all of us. Iowna Trailer is a survivor, she's an older woman who has survived husbands, kids, and the knocks of life. She's feisty, kind and still kicking. Lastly, Muddy Mae is a realist. She sees things how they really are and accepts them. She'll get by any way she can. These dolls are individually signed by the artist and made with loving care. |
