This is Edgar, the hound - and Carole's Personal Pet.

Edgar is hand made over the course of 3 days, poured, dried, and kilned (placed in a 2000 degree oven for 6 hours) and then base coated in black , given a coat of "Ruff Stuff - tm" - to create the look and feel of real stone - and finally dry brushed to give detail and coated in a matte sealant

This is Luthor , the eagle - seen here at the second stage, after kilning and ready for  the paint and finishing process.

The term used for this stage is "Bisque".

This is Willy, the dragon - Willy's a little camera shy due to his high-gloss Black Glaze finish. This glaze finish requires an additional session in the kiln, but the end result is a sleek - jet black smooth glass-like look and feel that truly sets Willy in a class above.
